Facilities - Adelowo Era
In terms of physical development, Mr. Adelowo did his best. Many more befitting structures were erected in his time. It was during his tenure that the classrooms were renovated, hostels partitioned into rooms, and the dinning hall fitted with fly-proof netting.
The Modern Science Laboratory
Furthermore, three ultra-modern science laboratories for Physics, Chemistry and Biology rated the best at that time in Kwara State were built. The design for these laboratories took after those (the building of which was coincidentally supervised in 1971 by Mr Ajayi, a former Principal of Offa Grammar School) of Aiyetoro Comprehensive Model School (a school sponsored by the United States of America). Also, for the first time in the history of schools in Nigeria, Offa Grammar School built and commissioned a zoo within the school compound, and was a proud owner of a flourishing orchard.
More football fields were constructed and more games equipment were bought. A new Home Economics laboratory was built. Two additional staff quarters were erected. Staff quarter #1 was renovated to such a high standard that it served as a guest house for important dignitaries. One of the first guests accommodated there was late Chief Obafemi Awolowo. The School chapel and the School Mosque were constructed through the assistance of the respective religious bodies. And finally, for the first time, the school got a van through donation by the Old Students Association, Lagos branch in 1975.
